There are two sections to the training programme. The first is the initial step for the trust personnel. Courses in language, personality development, and public speaking as well as experiences in urban poverty in Bangalore City comprise the core of the programme. We began this programme with 26 in July 2008 and hope to increase the number of trainees in the coming years.
The second section is the college programme which has twenty six enrolled in a three year course leading to a bachelor’s degree. The course is accomplished as a joint venture with the University of Dayton and covers subjects such as philosophy, math’s, sociology, computers, history, music, comparative religion, psychology, etc. The program now requires a B.A from the University of Madurai to enhance the current program. A farm continues to be a part of the centre’s activity to provide milk and vegetables for the students on site.
